The Friday Evening Kanikapila evolved from the workshop held prior to the kanikapila and was well attended by festival musicians, steel guitarists, other musicians and festival guests who just wanted to watch and enjoy the music. In addition to steel guitars, guests played guitar, ‘ukulele, and bass, and many musicians switched off on instruments.
