Rhonda Murotake

Now retired. Rhonda was the manager for UCLA's biology laboratory classes for over three decades. Joining AMC for the first time in 2015, this former classical cellist jumped in with both feet and bought a steel guitar before arriving at camp.

After fumbling through the steel classes again the following year, Rhonda finally accepted the fact that really learning to play the steel guitar was going to take some dedication and has been a weekly Skype student of Kumu Alan Akaka ever since. They both fondly look forward to their Aloha Friday pau hana happy hour lessons.

In her spare time, Rhonda spends her time with her fur babies and her musical instruments which include the steel guitar as well as an 'ukulele, slack key guitar, and U-Bass.
